BS4568 Conduit is a rigid hot-dipped galvanized low-carbon steel electrical conduit compliant with British standards. It acts as a protective conductor (grounding) for protecting and routing electrical cables.
Its inner wall is smooth, with a zinc-rich coating/passivation layer; the outer wall is hot-dipped galvanized and covered with a transparent zinc-rich sealant, ensuring corrosion resistance and easy cable pulling.
Suitable for indoor/outdoor use, moderately humid/dusty environments, and scenarios needing mechanical protection (e.g., factories, basements), it requires dedicated tools for bending and cutting (deburring after cutting). It can be joined via threaded or compression joints to ensure grounding continuity.
The product meets BS 4568 and BS EN 61386-21 standards. Nominal sizes range from 16mm (½”) to 63mm (2½”), with a standard length of 3.0 meters and optional 6.0 meters for selected sizes.
